Questions schools actually ask
Do kids need a phone?
No. Only the chaperone needs a phone. Kids just wear the tag — there's nothing for them to charge, carry, or lose track of.
What if there's no signal or wifi at the venue?
Tagalong doesn't need cell service or wifi to work on-trip. The tag and the chaperone's phone talk directly over Bluetooth, so headcounts, drift alerts, and find-a-child all work in a stadium basement or a state park with zero bars.
How long does the battery last?
About a year and a half per coin-cell battery with normal trip-day use. The tag and cradle are reusable across an entire season of trips.
Is it safe for younger kids?
Yes. The clip is a breakaway design that releases if it snags, the coin-cell battery is sealed in and can't be pried out by hand, and there's no neck cord — nothing to catch or choke on.
How many tags can one phone handle?
A single chaperone's phone comfortably tracks a full group — one class, one bus, one tour group. Bigger trips just split into groups, each with its own chaperone and phone.
